Modalities

Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage

Swedish is a traditional massage modality which is intended to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, stretch tight ligaments, and reduce emotional stress. Deep Tissue is similar to Swedish but targets inner layers of muscle and connective tissue helping to restore normal muscle function.

Lymphatic Massage

This massage modality is intended to stimulate and innervate the lymph system which aids in reducing inflammation, enhances your body's innate ability to heal, and promotes overall well-being.

Muscle Energy Techniques

METs are based on reciprocal inhibition of various muscle groups; when muscles on one side of a joint relax, those on the other side contract. METs can help restore normal range of motion, circulation, and function to muscles and joints.

Myofascial Release

Fascia is the support network that gives our bodies form and movement; it is a continous network that connects all parts of our bodies. Myofascial Release focuses on decreasing fascial tension by targeting multiple trigger points at once.

Joint Mobilization

Joint Mobilization is a massage modality focused on using movement combined with intentional pressure to release muscular tension and improve mobility in stiff joints. It is not a skeletal manipulation or chiropractic type adjustment.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping therapy is a traditional Chinese practice that helps ease tension, chronic pain, and inflammation through the use of cups that lift and seperate skin and fascia from muscles stimulating nerves and blood flow, aiding in the release of toxins from your body.

Prenatal Massage

Massage specially tailored for expectant mothers. Focuses on relaxation and relief of muscular tension while taking mom’s comfort and baby’s safety into consideration.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha massage is a traditional Chinese healing method that involves using a smooth-edged tool to stroke the skin while applying pressure. This motion creates small red dots called petechiae, and is used to treat chronic pain and improve blood circulation.
